2019 High School course selection

Dear High School Parents and Students;

Estimados Padres y Estudiantes de Secundaria;

Early in the Spring Semester students complete the registration/request process for the following year. After carefully reviewing available courses, students, parents, and teachers choose an appropriate and realistic course plan.

Durante el semestre de la primavera los estudiantes completarán su registro para el próximo año. Después de  analizar los cursos cautelosamente, los estudiantes, los padres y maestros escogerán un plan realista y apropiado que cumpla con las necesidades del alumno.

Course selections will be available between January 14th – February 15th (Except the breaks). Please, establish an appointment on school website with your counselor to make course selection throughout the Naviance.  The initial schedules will be passed out by March 25th. The students who are concerned about any course update requests must fill out the schedule change request form between March 25th to 29th, 2019 and return to their counselors. All schedules will be approved and completed by April 30th. 

Las selecciones de cursos estarán disponibles entre el 14 de enero al 15 de febrero (excepto en los días de descanso). Por favor, solicite una cita con el consejero para hacer la selección de cursos a través de “Naviance”   Los horarios iniciales serán entregados  el 25 de marzo del 2019. Los estudiantes que estén preocupados y deseen hacer un cambio en su horario deben llenar una forma de cambio de horario entre el 25 de marzo al 29 de marzo del 2019 y deberá ser entregado a los consejeros. Los horarios serán aprobados y completados para el 30 de abril del2019.

The schedules will only be adjusted to change courses that require tryouts/auditions and for completion of summer school courses with Dean of Academics prior approval.   It is not guaranteed that your child will receive all classes that are requested on this course selection sheet. The master schedule is planned on the basis of students’ requests and we will do our best to honor your child’s request if it is possible.

Los horarios solos serán modificados para las clases que requieran audiciones,  ensayos, o cursos en verano, con la aprobación previa del Decano Académico.  No hay una garantía de que el estudiante reciba todos los cursos  que solicitó en la forma de selección de cursos.  El horario general está planeado o creado basado en las preferencias de los alumnos y haremos todo lo posible en honrar las solicitudes de sus hijos.

Dual Credit Deadline!!!

Dear Dual credit students and their parents;

Official Day for LSC-University Park is Monday, September 10th. The deadline to send in DC forms to us to enroll students or make schedule changes (adds/drops) is this Thursday, September 6th at 7 pm.

Please remember, the students who have not paid by this Friday, September 7th at 3 pm will be dropped from their Fall 2018 classes and will not appear on the Official Day roster for LSC

Upcoming Important Dates:

Official Day-September 10th

Last Day to Drop and Receive a “W” for full-length Fall Classes-November 12th

Registration Begins for the Spring 2018 Semester-November 14th

My Harmony Portal   is our new a secure pipeline that automates the login process of administrators, teachers, and students to access Applications across Harmony Public Schools. This enables continuously updated roster information, provisioning accounts and access to applications permitting the users to get access without having to handle different usernames and passwords. This school year, Students and teachers after login to My Harmony Portal, they will see the Clever Icon and other applications. These icons have access to Educational Software. Sign up for Clubs and Athletics!

Dear parents and students,
Applications for clubs and athletics are now open. Please follow the link to apply online. Application deadline is August 31st. Clubs will start the first week of September. If there is a fee for the selected club you will need to pay the fee at school front office by August 31st.
  • Clubs are yearlong UILs are seasonal.
  • We need to have a minimum of 10 students to run the club.
  • Fees for the year.

Bridge to 6th Grade

Please join us for our Bridge to 6th Grade Day!

August 2 from 9AM to 2PM at Harmony School of Discovery.

This event is for STUDENTS ONLY and will help introduce them to the changes they will experience as they move from elementary to middle school. During the day, they will tour the school, be introduced to Block Scheduling, meet their new teachers, and have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about our school’s daily student life.

Lunch will be provided.

Students may wear free dress within Harmony Guidelines.

Parents will not be allowed to attend our Bridge to 6th Grade Day and students must remain for the entire day.

Please drop off your student at 9AM and pick them up promptly at 2PM. Please note, the front office will not be open and no uniform or school supply sales can be made that day.

Saturday TSI Test session for 8th & 11th grade students

The Counseling Department is pleased to announce Saturday TSI Test session for our 8th&11th grade students.  Test session will start sharply at 9:00 AM.

As you may know, our students will take TSI (real test) on May 19th, 2018. To help them get prepared, we would like to offer full TSI test session (English and Math) for our students on the Saturday;
